    Lads any of ye get this done on any of ye're cattle? What's involved? Are they weighed, measured etc?

    ;) Sorted. No use to your question though as it's years since we had animals scored. We'd only get the ped's done if they were for sale.

    Never had it done. Found this in a Ai book.

    Muscle = width at withers + width behind withers + loin development (x2) + hind quarter + thigh width.

    Skeletal = height at withers (x2) + length of back + length of pelvis + width of hips.

    Functionality = locomotion (ability to walk) + hind leg side view ( straight, optimum, sickled) + hind leg rear view (toes out, optimum, toes in) + front leg front view (toes out, optimum, toes in).

    I think ICBF provide a linear scoring service and have people in every county providing this service.
