Build request for autocad

    Hi, got some great advice here and have already ordered parts for my 1st build. My father has now asked me to seek advice on a build for himself. Not a big budget and I understand that CAD needs a decent graphics card for 3D rendering. He will only be doing a small bit of rendering so don't think he needs to go too big with the graphics card.

    1. What is your budget? €600

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Mainly autocad

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Have a 10 year old PC lying about. Not sure what I could use, maybe DVD rw?

    5. Do you need a monitor? Not at the moment

    5a. If yes, what size do you need.

    5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1080/1440x900/etc.] not sure, it's about 19 year old. Will upgrade soon

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

    8. How can you pay? Credit or debit card

    9. When are you purchasing? Asap

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Dublin/Meath
