    Hi,

i think this could be down to the connections on the wire but just in case I said i would ask.

Got new LG smart TV and the eye is set up via RF out from my bedroom Sky box, up to attic and its joined to a cable running down through the wall into kitchen.

eye works ok and all set up fine channel changing etc but the picture has some interference, its tuned to Channel 68 as normal but on tuning the eye on the Smart Tv, I noticed I got the 8 DTV (Rte etc ) channels also.

Has anyone advice for getting better picture on the Sky eye channel, as this is the one I would use not the 8 DTV channels as they are on box anyway.

I think it could be either the fact the wire running from RF out is attached and not one wire, or else there seems to be interference from the DTV /Irish channels

The fact the eye works ok and getting an ok picture means the connections are prob ruled out

    Any help please..
I wouldnt watch the tv with the current picture really, its not good enough.

you can change the rf channel in the sky box and then retune the tv to that channel. I use quite a few and find a low number that gives results. I use CH66 for sky. To chnage RF you need to access the Sky engineer's installers menu and the method is slightly different depending on model of box ie is it sky sd or sky hd. If you know he key sequence give it a go or if not post back with model version.

Its the older white Sky + box

    Its not HD

I will try some diff channels instead of the 68, I think the RTE/Tv3 etc channels are prob interfering with the signal, I cant seem to get rid of the DTV chanels.

    Thanks for your reply

check the dtv channel numbers and then select a number a bit away from it, here in clare its ch48 and ch55 for saorview.

Wonder is it possible to delete the normal channels and just tune the sky eye channel ?

Saorview will not be causing interference on channel 68.

Deleting them won't make any difference WRT the signals that are present on the cable. If there is a terrestrial aerial feed plugged into the Sky box RF-in, unplug it. If there isn't an aerial plugged into the Sky box, then you must be in a strong signal area, & the cable itself is acting as an aerial for Saorview.

I would pick as low a channel as possible for the Sky box RF, as this will suffer less signal loss in the cable, although if you do have a poorly screened cable that is picking up the Saorview signal, you might need to try a few to find the best result.

Sorry, the only cable running from the Sky box is the one cable going from RF out to the eye (via a small conector) as the cable wasnt long enough.
