    Hi guys,

First time buyer waiting on mortgage approval to come through. Have applied to a few banks through a broker two weeks ago and after a load of questions from then banks last week we are now hearing nothing from any of the banks!!!!

Is anyone else waiting a long time for approval at the min?

    Feeling anxious!!!

    Why not?

Because then the op could just ring the bank directly and get a straight answer on the status and to see if any paperwork is outstanding.
Now she has to rely on an intermediary who may or may not be a useless individual and his word.

Well in fairness, if it was as easy as that to deal with a bank concerning mortgages there wouldn't be a need for brokers in the first place.

There is many advantages to going down the road of a broker in terms of advice, securing a good deal & moving an application along quickly.
