    Hi,

I am having trouble starting my car. Lights radio everything is working but when I turn my key it just makes the noise as if its trying to come on but wont start up. I was thinking it might be the alternator but I'm not sure. Does anyone know how I could at least start it so I can bring it to a garage?

    Thanks in advance :)

If it's the alternator it would mean the battery would be dead. The battery could be dead, and have enough juice to power lights/radio for a while at least. Jumping it would be the first thing I'd trying given what you've said.

Sorry should have given more detail, Only got a new battery about a year and a half ago. Tried jump starting it last night but still wouldn't start. Left it connected to the other car for over 10 minutes tried again and still nothing
