Sky Dish Cables

    Hi i have a Sky dish mounted on my wall with 2 cables coming in. Are these 2 cables bringing in signal or only one of them. I dont have sky anymore but have free to air and one cable is linked to free to air box and i was woundering could i link the othe cable to my old skybox and use that as a free to air in my bedroom.

    I'm not a techie but my understanding is that Sky boxes have twin tuners so that you can watch one channel while you record another - hence the 2 feeds. If neither of the boxes you intend using have a record facility (which the old Sky Box won't have without subscription) then you can use one cable to each
