    Hi all,
not sure i m in the right part of the forum so please excuse me if i have it wrong.

i m here in dublin ireland to set up a company, and i realize after research that i need surgery for inguinal hernia

but the thing is i have no insurance at all and i can t afford to pay for the surgery now. Sometimes hernia can lead to emergency surgery...what will happen for an emergency case will they not help at hospital?

i know hospital bills can be super expensive here in ireland...

    i m french and i do have a pps

    thanks any idea is appreciated

You need to get a European Health Insurance Card from the French health service. On presentation of that you will get the same benefits as a Irish public patient.

When you say what will happen for an "emergency case" do you mean if the hernia has gotten to the stage where it's threatening your life? Then they will operate, and bill you later. A hospital can't really refuse to do an emergency surgery.
