It's free fitting not bulbs. But with main dealer rates it could be a saving if replacing the bulbs involves using tools. Just check if you can get the bulb cheaper elsewhere if no tools are needed.

I was wondering. Xenon bulbs are prices enough. I would be shocked if BMW replaced them for free.

    You sure?
Drop in between October 1st and November 30th and get any non-working bulb on your BMW, including xenons, replaced free of charge, while you wait.

Doesn't seem like it the way it's worded. No T&C's anywhere to be seen.

Its FREE Bulbs AND Free fitting on non working bulbs.

Nice PR stunt - I've mine 3 years and still no bulb gone.

Can confirm, it's free bulb and fitting, had one done recently and a free coffee while I waited, and mine is long out of warranty, 2008 car.

Why did you say straightaway its only free fitting?

It's free bulbs and free fitting. Bmw have been doing it once a year now for a couple of years. Halogen and xenon bulbs are included.

Got the angel eyes replaced on the E60 last week, complimentary wash, vac and complete health check too including fluid top ups in Joe Duff Finglas.

Loads of guys get their xenons replaced over on BMW driver and bmwhaus over the years.

Did they talk you into and upgrade while you waited?

I was expecting a hard sell but it never happened. Salesman came over and said mine was in very good condition for its age. Gave me his card and said give him a call when the time comes and he'll see what he can do.

For 6 months solid, all that happened is my bulbs went. Now that this offer is in play, all bulbs grand.

I think that could be a sweeping statement................................
    Wait for the backlash

Plenty of BMW drivers around these parts. A Bargain Alerts subscription and living on bread & water do not automatically go hand in hand.

Oh, and I fixed your post.

Offering free bulbs and fitting is dangerous.

You'll have all these tight f*ckers driving cyclops BMWs around the place waiting for them to do it for free again :pac::pac::pac:

What they want to do is drive showroom traffic during the peak ordering time for 151 reg. A very good idea, don't think the Service Manager would be happy though.

Given how many one eyed BMW's I see driving around this could cost BMW more than the timing chain issue.

Got mine done - completely free, and no sales pitch (athough I did have a look around while I was waiting about half an hour). Saved me the cost of the angel eye bulb (about 30 euro) and the time it would have taken to do it myself. Very convenient - free tea biscuits and wifi!

€47 for an angel eye bulb for 2006 3 series, had to buy and fit recently, jack car up, front wheel off, inner splash guard removed, other splash guard under bumper removed, replace bulb.. fiddly enough.. replace in reverse order so yes, you did do well ;)

I would like to get the poor performing Xenons in E65 replaced, trouble is they are not "gone" so doubt I get freebie, might try though:D
