Most of the countries that participate in this slaughter are EU members....so where is the EU meddling when you need it. After all they DO meddle in everything else !!!

People giving out that they're meddling when it comes to local issues (e.g.bog cutting) is probably one of the reasons they're reluctant to step in properly when localised traditional issues like this come up, no matter how backwards and damaging they are.

Aside from the fact that that statement is off topic, the scale and damage done by illegal hunting and trapping in the Mediterannean and parts of the East at the moment is far ahead of what is done by turbines.

I'd also suggest you be careful what you believe and say about windfarms - there are a lot of anti-windfarm people who tend to spout around numbers and statistics about their damage, that either aren't supported or have been grossly misinterpreted. They do this for both birds and bats, and not out of concern for either group but simply as a means to an end to try and ensure they don't get a wind turbine near their house.

All conservation organisations are against the unsustainable killing of birds that goes on in the Mediterranean, and all of the conservation organisations I'm aware of are ok with windfarms as long as they're sensibly placed.
