    Hi,

Posting this on behalf of someone, so don't want to give too much info away either.
Due to a school closure, this permanent teacher has been put into a VEC school for the rest of the year. They are registered with council as secondary trained now, but before that were registered with them as primary trained due to them working in a school deemed primary even though pupils aged 12-18, wasn't a mainstream school.

They have a masters in special education and don't know what their fate is going to be going forward and are looking at options. Can they go on a special schools panel? They have no hands on experience of working with down syndrome, autistic kids as the school they worked in previous was for kids with major behavioural problems, home problems etc...

Could they get a permanent position in a special school?
