Use an old router to boost wifi signal?

I have two old routers in my house that came with UPC subscriptions. A technicolor TC7200 and a cisco EPC2425.

I have a room in the house that the wifi signal is slow as its the further away from where my main connection and so I am just wondering is there a way of using one of the old routers to help carry that signal? Like some sort of mirroring effect?

    Any advice would be great.
