    Yep. It's just a straight swap. Just make a note of what wiring you have at the back of the switch before you change it and replace the wires in the same terminals on the new switch

    Don't forget to isolate the power at the Consumer Unit (fuseboard) as the supply wire at the switch will be live. That aside, its an easy swap over.

    Hi Guys,

    Even i am looking for similar help.......want to swap a dimmer with a standard switch......

    Existing Dimmer - Two brown wires goto C2 and one brown to L1, L2 is empty
    Existing Standard Switch - One brown wire going into a L1 and two brown wires going into a common point(I think its CM something)....L2 is empty.

    So i think L1 --> L1, C2 --> CM, no major hassle i think to swap these two ??

    Also does anyone know where can i find the standard switches ??

    Sounds like you have 2 lives and a switch wire behind the switch. Just don't mix them up or the light will be on the whole time. Any hardware shop will have standard switches. You need a one gang one way switch
