poster printing from pdf file

    Hope I'm posting in the right section.
    I've a pdf file I downloaded from the internet onto my desktop that I'd like to get printed off as a poster.
    Is it possible to get this done locally ( North Cork /Mallow/Fermoy/Mitchelstown, possibly Cork City) or online.
    The online sites I visited don't seem to want to deal with pdf files and want jpegs. I tried to convert the pdf file to jpeg with MS Paint but when I go into print preview it doesn't come out well aligned ect.

    Hi WTR,
    I get a lot of posters to local printers here in Dublin, and they prefer me to send the artwork in PDF format, my artwork is often a collage of jpeg & vector but saved by me in .eps format before I finally export the whole thing as a pdf. Are the online sites you mentioned in your query, actually Print service outlets? I'm sure there must be lots of print shops in Cork city that would be happy to print your image.
