Personally I like the Oregon gear I've seen on some tourists around town

Was actually thinking of getting some myself for Christmas. Where would you buy from? I'd go along with the three you mentioned and, personally I'd say Florida, UCLA and North Carolina aswell. Marshall too, I just have a thing for that shade of green in an American Football jersey.

Kansas Jay Hawks would be worth a look.
There was some lovely retro style Adidas jay hawks t shirts on espn.com last year.
And their mascot reminds me of foghorn leghorn.

San Diego Atzecs have some nice gear also

UCLA is actually a clothing label in its own right, it pops up on www.brandalley.co.uk from time to time

Some of my favourite jerseys this season. They are all a similar style so you can see what type I like.

    Connecticut

    Michigan State

    thumb.aspx?i=%2fproductImages%2f_1805000%2fff_1805773_xl.jpg&w=400

    Cal

    thumb.aspx?i=%2fproductImages%2f_1146000%2fff_1146332_xl.jpg&w=400

And if you want something a bit different, Oklahoma's "Bring the Wood" Crimson 'n' Cream is beautiful.

And while our on-field product has been Jeckyl and Hyde the past few years, at the least the guys always look the part. Nicest jersey in the game imo

Clemson stuff with the orange and the paw is fairly out-there. Can't beat a stupid looking gator on the front of a sky blue t-shirt either - great convo starter to the American birdies knocking around our cities.

Oregon throwback jersey was an absolute beauty this year.

Sooners Jersey posted above is a nice one too

The Navy uniforms are also pretty damn sleek. Pretty sure it's on Fanatics/Fansedge too.

What sort of bread does that Fans Edge site charge for delivery and do you get whacked by customs?

They give you the option to pay customs up front which I think is great. Minimises the delivery time. Been a while since I ordered though so I can't remember how much it came to. All I remember is delivery was fast. I ordered Notre Dame throwback 2 weeks before the ND / Navy game here and I had it delivered, returned (too big) and a replacement redelivered all with a couple of days to spare.

I've ordered 3 different times, never been stopped for customers :D

    3...2...11 Jinxed!

If you do get stung for customs, what you will be expected to pay according to info I have from someone itk is as follows:
12% Duty on the purchase price
23% VAT on the pruchase price
23% VAT on the delivery price

That goes for any clothing hats etc from abroad, not necessarily for all consumer goods.

it seems now fansedge are adding customs costs onto the order

Lads I know this has been asked in the NFL Gear thread but what is the story with sizing. I am usually between a Small and Medium on regular shirts depending on brand but prefer a closer fit. Would an Kids XL or even a L do the job? I spotted this thread last night and started looking though the college gear. A man would be in the red if I bought everything I liked!

    Heli,
how long did delivery take? how were the sizes compared to the NFL Nike stuff (pretty similar I suppose on Nike items)?

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 21,693 Mod ✭✭✭✭helimachoptor

it came in 2 packages, one took about 5 days, the other about 11.

I got large everything, all fits bar one hoodie which is just a bit too big but still wearable.

get the measuring tape out tbh, i assumed i'd be medium and was going to order on the basis but measured myself and realised i'd gotten fat

    I ordered a Stanford T in (L), an Indiana basketball T in (L), and a Ravens T in (L).
They all fit spot on, I'm a 39 neck in a shirt. Top quality official gear.
