Hi, for those of you that would like to learn a bit more about music production without committing to an expensive course in one of the bigger recording institutions in Dublin I'm currently giving music production grinds.

Grinds can include everything from basic training in D.A.W.s (digital audio workstations) to advanced audio editing, advanced routing, using inserts/ sends, MIDI sequencing, side-chaining, mixing & mastering.

    Lessons can also cover:

    Synthesis: (beginner to advanced)
    - oscillators, filters, envelopes, LFOs and effects.
    - inc. lessons in Lennar Digital's 'Sylenth1', Native Instrument's 'Massive' & Propellorhead's 'Thor' (Reason) to name a few.

    Equalisation
    - Filtering, boosting & cutting & spectrum analysis.

    Dynamics:
    - Limiting, expansion, gating, compression, multi-band compression, de-essing.

    Effects:
    - Time based (delay & reverb), filter based, digital and everything in between.

    Drum sequencing:
    - Production, editing and mixing of drum tracks, parallel compression, advanced tailoring of kicks, snares, hihats and percussion.

Bass sequencing and the creation of bass patches with synthesizers.

Mid-range synths (incl. classic synthesizers) and keys.

    Sampling and beat making.

    VSTs and plugins.

Lessons can also cover music theory (beginner to advanced [grade 8 and above]).
    - Rhythm, chords, chord progressions, analysis & melody writing.

Tuition offered in your own home, €25 - €30 an hour depending on your location (Dublin).

    Proficient in:
Pro Tools 10, Cubase 5, Presonus Studio One, Reason, Reaktor, Reaper, Soundforge.
& have worked in the studio with Irish artists including Ham Sandwich and Hozier.
