For which year(s) did you apply for it?

If its the current year, you should get it through your wages after your employer receives your amended tax credits.

For prior years you should receive payment into the bank account you gave them.

In either case, and at risk of stating the bleeding obvious, you'll have to have paid tax to get a refund.

Why don't you just ring Revenue and ask why you haven't received it yet?

Did you get P21 indicating that a refund was on the way? Also when you rang Revenue did you ask if your claims were held up for manual verification? The online system has safeguards built in to refer some claims for manual checking.

Sorry, was your claim made using the online service and do you receive correspondence electronically to your paye anytime account? If not and everything is done via manual forms and snail mail then it could take quite a while.

You'd have had the money in your account a month ago if you'd used the 21st century method.
