I dont know but it would probably pull more than it would stop with the brakes . That is probably more important these days

Well in theory one horsepower could raise 330 pounds of coal 100 feet in 1 minute. So 20hp could raise 6600 pounds 100 feet in 1 minute.

What would the brake horse power be on a ferguson?

We used to pull a 12x7 trailer with cribs full of turf with our 20d when we had no other tractor. Not as fast as a jd but got the turf home none the less. Don't know what weight be in that, maybe 5ton +/-. Great power to weight ratio. It's a pity the newer tractors lost their way in that department.

On the level, pull between 5 and 6 ton, its not the horsepower available that's important, it's how low a gear you have to get the load moving.. Spread a few 1300 gallon loads of effluent once on a level dry field with a Dexta.

What would the brake horse power be on a ferguson?

The clue is in the name.
    20
    35
    20hp and 35 respectively.
    35X about 40, 135 about 42

If 20 is its horse power value surely its brake horse power value is less?
