Frizz Ease serum has changed, not for the better.

I've been using Frizz Ease serum for years now. Lately I can't find the usual bottle I've always used. I don't think it's just a case of repackaging. I always went for the Orange bottle. The new look orange serum just seems different . Has anyone else found this? Instead of soft curly hair I now have a mass of wiry fuzz, totally not what you'd expect from a product called Frizz Ease! Is it just me not looking properly or has the usual serum been discontinued ?

I don't know. I used to use Frizz-Ease Serum but since I started using Garnier Sleek and Shine 3-Day My Sleek I haven't looked back.
I bought a bottle on New Year's Eve and I've still got half a bottle now.
Leaves your hair dead smooth and silky.

I think the formula has gotten thinner or something. I used it for years until a couple of months ago, nowadays it seems to weigh down my hair without actually controlling the frizz.

I've been using the Boots Curl Creme for the last while and find it much better. It defines the curls better and gives more hold. And it's only €2 for a tub that lasts for months, whereas Frizz Ease always ran out so fast.

Hi Fussyonoin, is the Garnier Sleek and Shine for straight hair? Sounds like a product to keep hair sleek and straight. But if not I'll definitely give it a go. I've tried some Boots products and I find they make my hair go in to a kind of mass, if you know what I mean. I've read some place (maybe here, on Boards) that to rub some conditioner in to your hair when it's dry helps to control the frizz. Anyone ever done this? Thanks for the replies.

Oh sorry OP, my mistake..I didn't see that you mentioned you had curly hair.
Yeah, sorry, it is for straight hair to keep it smooth.

I used to love this, if you can find it anywhere:

I've naturally curly hair and never found Frizz ease any good, I use Moroccan oil which is the best product I've ever used to keep the frizz away.

Hi Candy-Girl,when you say Moroccan Oil do you mean a brand that had that name or just oil that is Moroccan? Have a vague feeling I've seen some brand with that name, in a brown bottle?

I always used the frizz ease serum by John Frieda for years & used to buy a few bottles when it was on special ! Lately I had to buy the new bottle & I agree with u, it ran out of the bottle much more runny than the original & it didn't do anything for my hair either, if anything it made my hair lank & greasy without controlling the frizz, looks like I am going to have to find a new product !

Well Coathanger if you do discover something will you share your findings? I'm half way through a bottle of Tresemme Liquid Gold and am only now starting to get the correct dose sorted. It seems ok but I'll need more time to be sure.

I always used all Frizz Ease products and found the shampoo and conditioner has changed for the worst. I tried Umberto Gumbetini (sp?) in Boots and its great! They have a pink jelly in the range which is like serum/gel and combats frizz.

Ps, because i use alot of product in my curly hair i bought Redken cleansing shampoo (its a chelating shampoo great for hard water areas also). Its really helped boost my roots.

I recently got Frizz Ease shampoo and conditioner and I'd never get it again. My hair just went horribly greasy but still frizzy. I'd get out of the shower and the only way I'd look as though I actually washed my hair was if I left it for days before washing.

My hair is very curly as well but I think I'll stick to normal shampoo and conditioner and just add gel.
Although in saying that, I did splash out on some Kerastase Bain Miroir a few years ago and it was brilliant!

It's the only thing that works for me, I've tried the stuff fro Aldi and Pennys but it's no use for my hair.

SATSUMA- I've heard a lot about Redkin but have not used it yet. Can it be bought in chemists and supermarkets or is it usually just stocked in hairdressers? About what price would it be? And Candy-Girl, where can the Miroccan Oil be found? Thanks for all the product ideas.

Lots of hairdressers stock it, it can be bought online also from lookfantastic or millies.ie
