If you remove a fence you must replace with the same length some where else on the farm

    Ah no
I have miles of single stone walls fencing 1+2 acre fields lots of them half down everyway
Must find way of getting rid
30 ft mower is not working real well in these fields

The eye in the sky sees all now, is there a part of the farm which you could relocate some of them to in order to make other parts more workable?

    Not really
You would be looking at major cost to rebuild stone walls
Plus most of them are rubbish round stone and not enough of it to do anything
Some of these walls I can step over and drive over with. Quad

You mite get away with removing some so if they are not very distinctive. Will have a similar issue here, not as bad as your situation but I'm hoping to remove a few ditches but if they look for me to replace same I have a Glen area which I hope to use to do that

Ask a planner about it , if they are like that you might get permission to take them out without having to replace as much elsewhere
