The guy playing guitar John Colleary is one of the funniest guys on the circuit in Ireland. not a huge McSavage fan and I suspect his high profile has alot to do with his family and the fact he is related to Tubbers

Well that was a waste of 32 seconds

Shockingly bad, and I have thought in the past that some of sketches were ok.

    "Uppity Nonsense"? He's shiiiiiiite..

ALL he does it imitate people from the country with stupid accents and facial expressions!

Exactly. And that sketch in the OP wasn't even original.
I remember a song in the 90's by a comedy duo something like

    "Oh i love a c*nt, Oh I love a c*nt, Oh I love a Country girl..."

    Etc..

And imitating/exaggerating different regions around the Country has been done a billion times. The only reason people find it funny now, is for some bizarre reason (Apart from not being born), they never saw it in the 50's/60's/70's/80's/90's or the reruns..

I'm pretty sure that he's taking the piss out of that exact crap (Richie Kavanagh, Seamus Moore, et al).

No fan of McSavage, but I can see what he was doing here.

would be the song he's taking the piss out of. Not sure which is worse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,381 ✭✭✭✭Allyall

Didn't know who sung it, but it's obvious now. But does that not make it even worse?

Dave McSavage's acts are ripe for taking the p*ss out of. Just exaggerate a moron exaggerating Country accents/stereotypes.

    Seriously

    He sang...

Aon focal, dhá focal, tríur focal eile
And I ain't got no focal at all...

    Tripe

Mc Savage's parody of thid is actually quite good

I was driving a friend to his new house with a lot of furniture. We had overdone the load and were quiet.

About 15 minutes into the drive I remembered this video..

I have to admit it made me go from smirk to laugh. It may have taken a week, but it worked.. :D

So, I humbly retract the above (first) statement i made, as I obviously made it too soon.

I suppose a parody is supposed to be funnier than the original content. In this case Paddy Kavanagh is funnier than the parody. Not a huge McSavage fan but in this case thread is clearly clickbait.

I was out some years ago in Meath and there was a Richie Kavanagh tribute act performing. I would have thought the man himself would be cheap enough to hire
