Removing Tyre Stains from Carpet (post-turbo)

Does anyone know how to remove (bad) tyre stains from a carpet post turbo session?

Part of the turbo tyre seems to have melted (didn't know I had much that power:) and it's leaked all over the carpet.

With herself's impending return I'm facing a one-woman firing squad so any suggestions would be welcomed!

If anyone knew of a good carpet cleaning company in Dublin city too that'd be a major help too

Just buy a new bike, it'll take her mind off the carpet

There's only one way to avoid injury - use it to spell out "MARRY ME".

Don't know about melted rubber on the carpet, but WD40 is bloody incredible for getting oil and the other black bike-ish stains out of the carpet, without leaving any patches or damaging the shag (of the carpet and the other kind...). Just a drop on each stain, a bit of kitchen towel to gently rub and dab it, and it's gone.

I heard of carpet burn's, but leaving rubber residue on the carpet ?. It must have been one hell of a night.

De-Solv-It citrus cleaner has saved my bacon following a similar stain related situation in the past.

Don't scrub the stain, just dab at it.

    Good luck!
