I have long hair that is about two inches below my shoulders, it hasn't been this long in years but I am finding it gets tangled much easier and I'm having a lot of hair breakage as a result.

Can anyone recommend a good de-tangler spray? Price doesnt necessarily matter.

Revlon equave is the best. Get it in Sally. Also get a tangle teezer brush, they are fab.

I use L'Oréal Kids Sweet Pear Tangle Tamer http://www.boots.com/en/LOreal-Kids-Sweet-Pear-Tangle-Tamer-150ml_6385/

This one is also good it's for african hair but works great on any hair type. http://www.boots.com/en/Dark-Lovely-Kids-Ouchless-Detangler-250ml_927734/

I like the mane n tail detangler spray. Think it's about €7 or €8 quid, the bottle is huge and lasts for ages

Tangle teezers are great - I have one, and now can't brush my hair with anything else as it hurts too much!!

I saw this in town, that's a really good price for mane and tail  a tangle teezer is definitely on the shopping list, thanks all :)

Sally salon services, a shop. If there's none near you you should be able to buy some in your hairdressers.

I have very thick, waist length hair that matts up and tangles if you look at it. I use the L'Oréal kids pear detangle spray. I think it's around 3 euro in boots. It works a charm. The pear smell is quite strong but it fades within a couple of minutes.

I had very bad tangles when I was a child and I remember when that Loreal stuff was released over here...Godsend :o

I also recommend a Tangle Teezer. Seemed kinda expensive for a small brush, but delighted that I bought it! Every other brush hurts now..

Just wondering, would you use this on dry hair or just after washing?

You can use it both ways. After washing, I towel dry my hair then spray this on in sections and brush it out, then blow dry. If I have pretty bad bed head (which I have nearly every day!) I'll spray it in dry hair and brush it through.

Like I said, the pear smell is really strong and sweet but don't let that put you off, it fades away within 2 mins!

Great product for the price and really works.

I have very thick, very long hair (about 2 inches below my bra strap) and I find rather than using any extra product, combing my conditioner through in the shower with a wide-toothed comb makes the biggest difference.

Also, don't scrub like mad when you're shampooing - massage your scalp with your fingertips rather than rub the ends of your hair together, and when you're towel-drying, squeeze your hair with the towel, don't ruffle it.

This is usually what I do too, it's when my hair starts to dry after washing that's when it becomes one big knot
