Dental metal and MRI scans

I was wondering if anyone knows if it's ok to have dental metal when you're having an MRI of your brain?

I am having a dental crown fitted that will need a small metal post in the base of my tooth to hold the crown on. I didn't think at the time of possible problems with MRI's but I remember that in the past I've been told I can have absolutely no metal in the scanner and had to take off rings and jeans with zippers and buttons even though the scan was of my head. Will having this small metal post in my mouth be a problem in future?
I'm not looking for medical advice, I was just wondering if anyone had come across this and knew the answer off hand.

The Internet says no problem, because most dental implants are made of non-magnetic metal.

Ring your MRI department - they will know.
