Hi All, I am looking for some advice on a Provence portable gas heater which is not working properly. I was lighting the heater this morning for the first time this winter with a new gas cylinder and i could not get it to fire up.
There are 3 settings on this heater, to ignite, I'v got to hold down the control knob and turn anticlockwise from setting 1 to 2 creating a spark and lighting the gas. This seems to work no problem. The trouble is when i release the knob, I have to do this to turn the gas up, but then the gas goes out.
I have had a look and made sure are no blockages in pilot or main gas suppy lines but no luck in getting it running. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
    Sean.

It will require a service by a RGI. These Provence heaters are one of the most dangerous portable heaters I have come across and it is essential they are used according to Manufacturer's instructions, one being it must be annually serviced.

Can you light them with a match if the spark is not working?
