    Palmerstown for me. No question.
And I'm a fan of Heritage.

You might want to ask some members how the course was after all the rain.

Palmerstown is he way to go I'd say. It's being looked after. Played Heritage on Wednesday and it was in good condition apart from the unbelievably bad bunkers, bad sand, no sand, grass growing though the sand, sand not raked by groundsmen, sand not raked by players, foot marks in sand,,, and finally the grass around the bunkers is about a foot long in places, totally unplayable.

Not even close, Palmerstown all the way

Close enough call I'd say, both great courses in terms of layout but the more I play Palmerstown the lower I keep ranking it. Played it earlier in the year and it was horrendous, course should have been closed it was so wet, played it again towards the end of summer and since it rained the previous day all the bunkers were out of play which is the major defense of the course. Palmerstown was in fairly poor condition on both occasions, massive divots unrepaired on the fairways and in particular on approach shots into the par 5s, a lot of pitch marks on greens and bunkers terrible. Had hoped for so much more with the new ownership and establishment if a club on the premises.
That said I haven't played The Heritage this year so can't really compare in terms of condition but the above reviews don't sound great.

For me, there's obviously no contest - Palmerstown all the way.

However, I can understand why a visitor, even one who regularly plays it once or twice a year, can find themselves frustrated by some of the divots, pitchmarks, bare-ish bunkers etc. still in evidence now and then. All I can say in reply is that its the same everywhere after all the rain we've had and I saw the same conditions in many good courses I've managed to play over the summer. Off-fairway is soft, there's no doubt about that, but when you think about just how far the course has come in one year, I think the transformation has been amazing. Yes, there are still some issues, but many of the bunkers have now been fixed and the course is playing really well. If it hadn't been raining this morning, I would have been out there myself!

The Heritage is a really nice course, but even when we played a Boards outing there last year it was showing signs of neglect and it has gone backwards since.

Horrendous? You must be a member of Augusta if that's the adjective you use for Palmerstown.

Palmerstown all day long for me.

Interesting to see the membership is still £1,500 for 2015 and then will be going down to £1,250 in 2016 once you are in.

I thought it would be going the other way, back up.

I am a member at palmerstown GC, I am happy and surprised at all the votes for palmerstown. I would play the heritage in a heartbeat over palmerstown in this weather. bunkers r poor u say in the heritage, well bunkers r out of play in palmerstown and will be for rest of winter. heritage has bone dry fairways nd greens, palmerstown has not (although it is a mass improvement on last years drainage). both courses r super but if you like your golf 'elgenerale' play the heritage, you wont be wiping muck out of your eye after fairway wedges.
