Have you used Android before? Have you used a large screen phone before (5" and up)? Are you preferences style / camera / battery etc?

Great then, lots of options for you. You sign it with a Google account (Gmail) and this will act as a login for all your Google apps (and the Play Store, which is the same as the App Store). Apps are pretty much on par with iOS nowadays due to it's popularity.

Choice of phones are massive, you can great a great device for €170 (Moto G, I have one) or you can go high end and get a HTC One M8, Galaxy S5, Xperia Z3 but they are all 5" and above and that can be an issue for some people. These generally go for free up to €150 on contract so that's another question really.

Personally, I'd recommend the Nexus 5 off the Play Store direct from Google, stock Android (extremely recommended) with excellent specs, immediate updates of Android and factory unlocked for any SIM.

What is your budget / contract preferences / network you are with?

Ok so it breaks it down to the HTC One M8, Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z3. Me personally, I'm not a fan of non stock Android (layout edits, themes, adjustments on top of stock Android which potentially slow down the phone) and that's why I would recommend a Nexus 5 - is it an option for you to switch to a SIM only plan and buy a phone online or even get an upgrade, sell it on and then buy one? Better still, sell the 5S and switch to SIM only 30 day contract and buy online, you'll get great cash for it on Adverts.

If I had to pick and you wanted a phone right now, I'd take the HTC One M8 - amazing spec phone, nice feel in your hand, excellent ultrapixel camera and 1080p screen.

OP get rid of bill pay and go PAYG. Like you can get the Samsung S5 from piximania for only €455 and you can get a plan from 48 for only €10(they dont check to see if your 18-22). Its the o2 network so its good coverage.

Bill pay is far more expensive in the long term. Save money and buy a phone outright. Just pick up a PAYG plan. Plus if you lose the phone or its stolen. You arent paying for a phone that you dont have anymore through a priceplan.

But if you still want to be on bill pay. Get the 5S from your network, sell its on adverts.ie and then pay something like a moto G on amazon.co.uk. You will make a couple of hundred
