Immersion not working, Radiators getting airlocked and now boiler not firing

I've had an issue running for a while with my heating system. I have a Baxi 60/100e boiler, and a gravity fed system (tank in the attic). Over the last year I've had the following symptoms... in order of occurence
    1. Immersion just stopped working
    2. Radiators started to airlock (have been bleeding the every couple of weeks)
    3. Now, the boiler has stopped firing (Flame failure light on and the boiler flame light just kicks in and out)

There is power of some sort going to boiler, as when I turn it on it sounds like its trying to start up as normal.

I'm calling in a plumber today, but in advance of that I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to whether all these are linked or not. Any advice appreciated.

The heating has nothing to do with the immersion. Your boiler is designed to be on a sealed system. Being tank fed it probably hasn't enough head pressure. Your losing water somewhere also which is causing the air I'd say. Make sure your plumber is RGI if he's going to work on your boiler

I was worried about the airlocks being due to a leak, mainly because I don;t have any visible leakage anywhere, which may mean underground. Is that a big job to diagnose? It sounds it

Have a look outside there should be a little copper pipe sticking out through the wall located near the boiler. Is it passing any water?

Even when the boiler has been going for a few hours? What does your pressure gauge currently read?

To be honest, I've never noticed. When I turn the boiler on, I just get the boiler light light going on and off on the panel (bottom right in pic) along with the sound of the boiler starting and stopping in sync with the flashing, and a few mintues later the flame failure light goes red. Pressure gauge reading is attached. I've asked the last 4 boiler service guys from BG about this being so low, but they say its fine...

Sorted... Just a dirty small cyclindrical filter that hadn;t been cleaned. Fair play to an excellent plumber on a Saturday. Makes me wonder about the quality of the yearly 'service' I spend so much money on with Bord Gais...
