Residential Sound proof

    Hi,
I have moved into a new build home recently and this is new construction all efficient, but not great at sound proof.
This is a terraced house, and on one side my neighbor has sound system that when turned on, you can hear alot of low frequencies and lots of noise on my side. The eco/sound travels the all house from ground floor to upper floor on that side of the house.

I am looking for some advise or contacts in Dublin to check some possible solutions. Perhaps soundproof a room or we might need to go further and sound proof the all side of the house, someone specialized that knows their business.

    Thank you

Very expensive and not guaranteed to be 100% sound proof.

Are the houses timber frame by any chance. I stayed in a row of timber frames and the sound of both next door neighbours was shocking. To make matters worse, we'd 2 sex addicts on the right hand side.

that doesn't have anything to do with it. 10's of 1000's of conc semi-d's with major party wall sound issues (including my own family).

It's quality of workmanship that determines it.

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
