I am inviting adult GAA teams to participate into a study examining how a coach's principles impact his or her player's commitment and satisfaction. Some of you may be aware that there is a plethora of information examining this topic within the business literature, however, the relationship is yet to be investigated within sport - as the culture within sport is often very different to that of business, it's important not to assume that the relationship will transfer over.

Ultimately, the study is attempting to find ways of retaining players within the sport, while also helping coaches to improve their coaching. All teams who participate will receive invaluable feedback (anonymised) showing how both the players and the coach view their coaching environment. To take part in the study, please visit the study website [implas-dot-co-dot-uk-forwardslash team] where you will be directed to the relevant assessment.

Finally, apologies for hijacking the forum without prior input, but as I have had a number of GAA teams sign up for the study I thought others might be interested too.

    Best.

    John

Two and half years later and the research is now published. I would share the link, but do not have authorisation to do so. As such, please feel free to drop me an email john [ at ] sportrxiv [ dot] org if you would like me to send over a copy.

Thank you again to anyone who participated, you were a great help.
