Credit Union Paying Off Loan Query

    I currently have a loan with the credit union of which I have paid off the majority, and am well ahead on payments.

    Once I pay off my loan, how long until I have access to my savings?

    Every credit union different but I can't see why you wouldn't have access straight away

    If your shares are well above what's left on the loan you could always ask to have loan cleared out of shares now. Some CU's will allow this.

    I paid off my CU loan last week and had instant access to savings.
