The only one I ever knew of in Ireland was a black 2.0t and sat in a garage I worked in for about a month waiting on stuff from Renault. To drive it was fairly comfy and well spec'd but the reality that it a was just a megane on steroids would put me off what was suppose to be a luxibarge. For the money I'd have prefered a Citroen C6, if I had to buy a frenchie.

My old vice principal had one. He looked stupid in it, because, well he was a stupid c*nt

Fairly comfy though, if you can live with the exterior. Fancy the 3.5 version?

He has to have one. Could you imagine the chaos in France if he was in a German or English car.

I sure do. But reality dictates the 2.0...

Saw one today. A lad in Ballinamore, co Leitrim has it. He's had it three or four years now, never heard him complaining about it, anyway.

I've been in several of them. None have been fully functioning but all have been comfortable

The Val Satis was in no way related to he Megane. Nothing wrong if it was do as they are both good cars. It might have been relaed to a Laguna maybe but certainly not the Megane. The French Ampassador in Ireland used to have one and I have seen a few others about but not hugely popular.
The front certainly could have looked better and Renault had even designed a better looking front too it but for some reason propably safety reasons it was designed to look not as good as it could have looked. Or maybe because they thought it looked more classy the way they designed it to look. I think it looked great from most angles except from the front. A pity as there might have been more of them sold then.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

How does the distance of the observer affect the car's nationality Hachiko?

    They are unusual looking things.

Go for it OP. There is value in being unique.

Or any unmaintained car on Irish roads.
Couple of winters ago I counted the number of cars with wonky lights whilst driving from Sligo to Galway late one Sunday evening, had inexcess of 70 cars:eek:
