    Just racked my BlackBerry wine into demi-johns to mature,O.G1080 I also fed a kilo of sugar to it after a couple of weeks f.g 0.997 was wondering what the end ABVcwill work out at after adding the additional sugar,the total volume was 24 litre

    Difficult to work out since you added 1kg sugar after taking you OG reading.

    OG 1.08 to FG 0.997 gives abv of 11.1% using this calculator: http://www.rooftopbrew.net/abv_calculator.php (I put temp as 20 celcius since you didn't say what it was when you readings were taken).

    So you're looking at higher than this in any case.
