So got a job and they want my pps. As this will be the first time my pps is in use working and paying taxes, will I be emergency taxed?

I have the company tax number just in case of any mishaps.

Ring Revenue (PAYE Section) tell them you have just started work for XXX Company and give them employer tax number.
Revenue should send out a cert of tax credits to your employer and a copy to you.
Once your employer has the cert you shouldn't be on emergency tax!
BTW emergency tax allows some initial leeway where you get basic allowance for a couple of periods...
Go register on PAYE Online and you can manage your tax affairs there!

As it's your first job you do not exist on Revenues systems. You need to complete a form 12a and send it to your local office. You may be emergency taxed until this is done.
