Passat heater problem..

hi all, ive a 2001 vw Passat tdi sport. recently the inside hearer stopped working. first it would come on shortly after it was switched on, no it wont work at all.. thinkin it isn't a fuse as the display is working, but just no air, which is a nightmsre with trying to keep windows demisted.. advise please??

First things first.. Could be blower passenger footwell under glove compartment, when it stops blowing slap/punch(quite hard) panel behind glove compartment, if motor(blower) starts up again! then brushes probably need replacing, I can guide you on this job if need be.....
