We have the architect drawings just completed and a detailed spec sheet. Is there any specific type of tender letter we can use to tender out to builders? Thank you.

Should the architect not do the tender letter too...or at least give you a draft tender letter?

and you should also include a detailed tender schedule so you can compare prices in some sort of organised fashion

Our Engineer doesn't do tenders. Waiting to hear back to see if we can get a draft from him. A Quantity Surveyor quoted us €2,300 for tendering and a bill of quantities alone.

So...architect has turned into an engineer! :pac:

Sounds a bit silly to be honest. Surely if s/he does you drawings and specifications for tender, they can do you a simple tender letter for you too?

Apologies, engineer drawings is what I should have said.

Waiting to hear back from him on the tender letter, when asked he said he doesn't do the tendering and suggested the QS to us.

You will fail to save money if you do not pay for this service.

You appear to imply that this is a ridiculous value? I would love to hear the basis for you having brushed it aside. Given a detailed schedule for tendering can provide a clear tender analysis and also highlight potential high and low value tender prices, it will well cover the cost of itself.

Is it a new build OP and what size is the build?
