    hi all,
was just looking for some advice on travelling Europe alone during the summer..... I wouldn't consider myself strong at any languages other that English do you think this would be a major barrier to overcome alone or should I try get a friend to come along with me? also any suggestions on where to visit was thinking more Mediterranean but open to anywhere really.

Unless you are going to very non-touristy spots I doubt you'd have any problems. Along the Med I'd imagine every tourist place will have some English. No harm to have an app with some French/Spanish words.

Without knowing what type of holiday you're looking for it's hard to advise.

    - nightlife or a quiet country retreat
    - backpacking from place to place every few days or staying in the one spot for several months
    - into culture/sports/history

As Meathlass said, as long as you're going to touristy areas or main cities, you'll be grand and will very easily get by.
