Could anyone suggest a reasonable make \model for a general purpose analogue multimeter please?

I have had a good Robin for a long time but is defective (yes, I checked battery and fuse!).

The price range for these is massive and just want to get a reasonable one (analogue) for general use.
    thanks in advance.

Google analogue multi meters Ireland or UK then look at prices that suit you. Review the ones you like then make a decision. Finally call a calibration company and ask them for advice they are in a better position than most people.

Try to get one that can be calibrated, that's important.

Do they still make Avo meters?
They were an industry standard years ago.
