    Thinking of getting a tablet for an 8 yr old, any recommendations or better still what to avoid. Thanks.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    You could look at the Nabi (www .nabitablet.com/) made for kids. Haven't used it. Both of my kids love using the iPads in our house and to be far they are pretty easy to use (but way to expensive lol)
