Improv Fest Ireland returns to Dublin in November with an exciting line up of comedy and music acts and workshops from around the world. The week will see 23 acts from 8 different countries (Ireland, UK, USA, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Canada and Sweden) showcasing their improv and comedy skills across many different styles and formats of improv.

With totally spontaneous and unscripted theatre and comedy shows, the Festival will entertain, educate and delight audiences for the second year running. Two or three shows will run per night with tickets for each show only €10.

Theres also a selection of workshops for beginners and experienced performers from top international instructors. Details here.

This year’s shows include award winning UK group The Maydays with a new improvised musical. Upstairs Downton where costumed performers create a never been seen episode of Downton Abbey based on audience suggestion. We Are Improv’s The Nearly Famous Five take inspiration from Enid Blyton books and turn an audience’s title of a never been written book into a play. All these and many more will appear in the Teacher’s Club nightly from November 9th.

There's also a Celebrity Charity Show taking place on 23rd November, featuring a number of the nation's celebrities not normally associated with comedy, ditching scripts and performing improv live in aid of Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin, some for the very first time. Return stars - Rick O'Shea, Daniella Moyles, Paddy McKenna appear with new faces including Kelly Donegan and Eunice McMenamin.
