    Hey

Just wondering are there cases of secondary school teachers being appointed to The role of Principal in primary schools? I'd imagine the settings are quite different but possibly the Principal role is somewhat similar?

I would think unlikely because you wouldn't be TC registered to work in a primary school and if numbers drop, you couldn't be a teaching Principal.

Never heard of it and the role is only as similar as primary teaching to secondary teaching.

Also in small schools of which there are many, a principal is also a teacher, so would need to be qualified as a primary teacher.

Not in mainstream primary schools - only in special schools which have at least some post primary aged students following post primary curricula.
