    I notice a option to have friends on boards, whats the point of that? ....I have no 'friends' on here but it does make the place seem 'clickey' ...yes/no? :confused:

    Dont look into it to much most the time it means very little.

    I mean ive a few on mine i think one or two ive actually proper talked to :pac:.

    Rest dont even post anymore.

    Oh no..... With Twitter, Facebook and instagram, now I have to have friends on boards. Ffs, I actually only have 1 real friend in life. I don't know who the hell anyone else is.

    I don't think it makes the site cliquey, it's just one of those features that doesn't have much point to it, I don't really bother with it.

    Main reason to add friends on boards: So they don't appear on your boards love match come valentines day!

    Keep your friends close and enemies closer!

    It was a bigger thing a few years back. Not sure if people still befriend each other.
    Many of mine are from meeting at various Beers etc.

    it's a feature of vBulletin more than a feature of boards - the "friends" feature can be used as filter or restriction to allow trusted members to get in on the action.

    1. Blogs can be restricted to friends+contacts only.

    2. Receiving PM can be restricted to friends only.

    3. Friends/Contacts can be synced up to face book, my space and other social networks

    4. On extreme cases, threads can be restricted to friends only.
