Hi I had to replace the circulation pump in my external kerosene boiler as old one not working. I had to drain system as one of the on/off valves was unmovable. I got new one and replaced this as well. I removed screw from front of pump till water came out. I set the pump at 2 as this is same as old one. I bled all rads upstairs but when I put heat on no rad or copper cylinder heated upstairs. Can anyone suggest what's wrong. If not I will contact plumber.

    Thanking You

Can you hear any running of water through the upstairs rads? Maybe yiu should bleed the rads downstairs too

Thanks a lot for your reply. no thermostat upstairs. All rads have thermostat valves. If I released all air from rads , where else could there be air lock.

Rads down stairs very warm so assumed no need to bleed. on few rads upstairs I heard water flowing in as air was been released. I did notice that there was a lot of air in the rads, as i has reason to drain my own a while ago and has only fraction or air

May need to bleed upstairs again, bleed downstairs anyhow to make sure...sometimes crap in pipes may block up. Try seeing if any pipes feeding rads are warm even if rad is cold

If it's a sealed system, have you kept topping up the pressure as you let air out.

You could turn off all rads downstairs and then bleed upstairs rads one by one.

From replies can I assume that I should bleed every rad again and this should sort problem or could it be more serious. There is no air bleed valve on copper cylinder but I think this is only on pressured system

It may not,id be inclined to turn off the rads downstairs and then bleed the rads upstairs.when all the upstairs rads are hot upstairs turn back on rads downstairs
