Sorry if this has already been posted but Tesco.com have a a special deal with a 42 inch LG telly and an Xbox One with Forza for £499. I assume this can be delivered via either parcel motel or parcel connect (but I could be wrong I've never used wither for anything even remotely large).

    http://www.tesco.com/direct/lg-42lb5500-42-inch-full-hd-1080p-led-tv-with-freeview/511-9362.prd

The telly might be little old but it seems to be decent so it looks like good value to me but I never really have the same eye for these things other boardsies do!

ONE BIG CAVEAT ... they're currently out of stock of the xbox but this offer runs until Christmas so presumably they'll be getting more in.

One smaller caveat is that the telly doesn't seem to be saorview approved so you might need a separate box if you need it (this might strip a bit of the sheen off the bargain).

Jesus, subscribe to HUKD if you're that offended that someone didn't sniff this out on your behalf sooner.

It's a pretty decent deal and runs for over a month.

Nothing like that. I'm well able to source my own bargains (have you ever bought a telly for 1c? ;))

The OP posted in good faith, and some clever clogs decided to burst their bubble. If everyone had that attitude, nobody would ever post a bargain for dear of getting rebuked!

Well if that was your intention, you could've worded a bit better. I don't think I was the only one that thought you were being condescending.

What is this 1c telly you speak of? :-P

I'd imagine that Saorview would work on this TV, even though it's not approved. It does seem to have DVB-T MPEG4 tuner, as well as the spec mentioning having H.264 codec support.
