Interest deductible against rental income

I am considering buying a house and letting the apartment I currently live in if it's worth doing financially.

I have €50000 equity. If I were to borrow some or all of €50000 to put towards the house, could I allow the interest (75% of it) against rental income?

The purpose of the loan is to buy a property for you to live in so the interest is not a deduction from rental income.
