Hi, Need some help here, going to the National Youth Conference on Friday in Clane and have no car to drive so need ideas on how to get there. I have looked into Bus Eireann but it would require two transfers and irish rail don't stop in Clane. Any suggestions??

Going, Friday morning 7th, before 2pm
    Returning, Sunday afternoon after 12pm

    Thanks

Galway to Sallins via train, and bus from Sallins to Clane would be the first thing that comes to mind.

Train to Sallins then the Townlink bus from outside the station in Sallins to Clane. The bus runs every hour during the day.

The other option is bus or train to Dublin city and bus to Clane

    Townlink doesn't run on Sundays.

Apart from the first 2 trains in the morning all other trains require you to change and as IE don't do changes very well it means you'll get into Sallins at the same time as your original train gets into Heuston.

The Townlink doesn't work on Sunday, but even on Friday it doesn't connect with your train.

So my advice would be get the train to Heuston and get a Bus Eireann 120 or 123 outside the door to Clane. They run every 30 minutes.

Alternatively if you wanted to go for the cheaper bus, get the Aircoach or Bus Eireann 20 to opposite the Lucan Spa Hotel, cross over at the footbridge and get the 123 or 120 on the other side of the road. Or get an express bus to Busarus and get the 120 or 123 for there (across the road at Connolly taxi rank)
