I lived in NZ for a few years and used to enjoy the arnotts shapes. Delicious crackery goodness

I'm pregnant at the moment and I'm having serious shapes cravings. I've asked a friend in NZ to send some over but that might take a while.

They're actually an Australian product - does anyone know of any shops in Dublin or elsewhere that would stock Aus/NZ goods by some miracle? I've found one or two sites online that have then but they're v expensive and delivery is not fast enough for my pregnant belly!

My husband is South African and we go into the SA shop in town for him every so often but I haven't heard of anywhere stocking Aus/NZ stuff

You'll find some substitute in an Irish supermarket I'm sure, there are cracker aisles these days practically from the amount of options...

Aldi has some really nice cheese flavored crackers aswell, dont know if they compare though...

No, nothing here compares. They're really strongly flavoured, like crisps but they're crackery based. They're small little shapes too so you can eat them like crisps, not big crackers

Anything here are just lightly flavoured crackers and you need to eat something with them

I LOVE the savory shapes one...my most favourite biscuit and I miss them so much :( BBQ shapes are good too though!! OP, I don't know what shops you were looking at online, but there is one called SANZA - www.sanza.co.uk They post from the UK. If you can keep the parcel under 2kg it will come via regular post, over 2kg and they will only send it via courier.

It's the BBQ ones I'm craving the most! I'll check the site out - maybe it won 't take too long!

That site is sold out of nearly all the flavours of shapes :(

My friend did just write back to tell me she's going to the supermarket to pick some up for me and will post it tomorrow so hopefully my craving can wait until next week!

Have you tried Oddities? They are flavoured mini crackers and pretty full on flavour: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob%27s_Oddities.

My husband has actually just gone to Tesco to get some. I found them online! Hopefully they'll keep me going until the real thing arrives.

...... And Tesco only have the ready salted flavour - so basically just small versions of normal crackers. No thanks

Not having much luck here at all!

Dunnes sell Oddities also and they have them in Dealz, supervalu and possibly centra also. They do have them online if you wanted to order them: http://www.tesco.ie/groceries/product/browse/default.aspx?N=4294953373&Ne=4294954028&Nao=20

Hope you get something soon to kill the cravings :)

Fallon & Byrne tend to cater for expats & folk returning home with cravings a bit, I know I've seen some Australian stuff there, but could possibly just have been Tim Tams. They're pretty good at getting back to questions on their facebook page if you wanted to ask them before heading in

It looks like it would work out at about €15 a box (ouch, but could be less if you did parcel motel & multiple boxes) but Amazon could sort you out if it the cravings got too bad.
