    Hey folks,

my gf is coming to the end of her contract with meteor, an 18 month 25 per month contract with the Xperia T (I think).

I know nothing about phones so was wondering if there is any good bill pay contract deals with a new handset out there, similar cost but with a new handset?

Sorry for the vague and simple question

    Trilla

I'd actually advise going onto prepay.

Then just get the new Moto G 2nd edition in Argos for 180.

Lovely phone and no need to lock herself into an 18 or 24 month contract with the networks.

Sim free is the best option
Check the signal strength of several mobile providers.
Tesco over unlimited calls, texts and 1gb of data for 15e. however if you use your club card and transfer her number over it will only set you back less than €140 for the year. or 280 for 2 years. Add on the price of the phone and you are clearly saving over 200e for the 2 year deal
48 do the don I think for €20 that would be 240 for the year, plus the cost of the phone.
Work out which one is best and add on the cost of the phone. compare it to the bill deal she would get. The moto g is a stunning great piece of kit. well worth more money than it costs

Both Tesco and 48 use O2s network, but you point is valid nonetheless, figure out which network works best and which price is best. Both tesco and 48 are damn cheap though. 48's €10 plan is probably sufficient for most people.

If that was the case then €120 for the year; based on a previous €25 pm minimum she was paying she could buy a €180 phone each year even ignoring the resale value of her old phone and still have the same outlay.

So just buy a new Moto G every year, or maybe add a bit and you'd probably get a second hand Nexus 5 off adverts.ie for €250 or so.
