What are the trading platforms available to Irish residents that can be used to buy ETFs and index funds?

Which if these is the cheapest to use? I was considering using Saxo but the news of their new charges (on top of their existing inactivity fees) has put me right off of them.

Nothing is cheap or even reasonably priced in Ireland when it comes to investing.
Also there is no dedicated trading platforms for passive investing that do not include front loading, entry fees and exit fees not to mention annual management charges. We are taken for mugs in this country. Sorry, rant over!

You are right. You can use cheaper foreign brokers if you wish. However, they usually require that you maintain a large minimum balance in order to not pay inactivity and acc mgmt charges. So again not ideal for the smaller investor who want to buy and hold long term. Also I think there may be tax implications in some cases.
