Will removing payment method cancel order?

I accidentally ordered something quite expensive that I don't want from Zoverstocks on amazon. Aside from not wanting it, I don't think I even have enough money in my bank account to pay for it. I emailed them a couple of times to cancel the order but got no response. So I removed my debit card from my amazon payment methods. I now have no payment methods on amazon. Do you think this will stop the order?

No need to remove your card from amazon, you can cancel your order by going to your orders section & click on cancel items.

As Roger00 has said there is a very handy cancel method now which I have often used!!

The problem was that it wasn't a cancel order buton as it wasn't direct from amazon, it was a request cancellation button which meant I had to wait for the seller's response. Anyway the seller cancelled it but the stupid bank are holding the funds anyway. I told them to release the funds back to me immediately but they won't unless amazon fax them which amazon refuse to do. Looks like I'm going to go over my overdraft limit.

Since you bought from a company and not directly through amazon then it might be worth emailing the seller and ask them to fax your bank. It might not work but might be worth a try.

I've asked them but they haven't answered. Even though the order has been cancelled the money is still reserved on my account and the bank says it looks like the payment will go through. Is this normal when cancelling an amazon order? Does anyone have any experience of this? If the seller doesn't "claim" the money will it go through anyway?

Have you contacted amazon about this or just talked to the seller? If you havent talked to amazon do so now. They will sort out the seller for you.
