Well, got my first ever road bike yesterday.A Vitus razor vr big stepup from the mountain bike brought it out today and have being having problems with the front derailler.when I try to change to a lower gear, the larger cog or whatever the derailler is jamming the chain into the bigger one and stopping me pushing the pedals.also chain is rubbing off the front deraillier when chain is on the smaller cogs, any suggestions.have spent every penny i have saved on this so hope to do it myself.but if all else fails how much would a bike shop charge to tune up the gears a bit?

I hope to start racing u16 next year and so have bought a turbo for the winter along with the bike, am planning on training early morning for an hour before school and then possibly another hour after homework/study etc, what would be the best use of this time like schedual of warm up,intervals and so on. Want to be competitve next year and not be left behind. Am reasonbly fit already and can manage 25 k on the mountain bike

Sorry for the long post but am new to all this thanks

Search on YouTube for "front derailleur adjustment" and do it yourself. Yours is clearly very badly aligned. It's relatively simple to adjust.
